Each necklace is outfitted with an 18-inch chain that typically rests the pendant an inch below the collar bone. Gold filled chain and attachments are available for an additional fee. Steel chains are used for the silver option. Gold filled chains are used in the listing photos. Filled pieces will retain their color far longer than gold-plated jewelry. While the plated chain that I use should not fade for around two years of regular wear, filled jewelry has 100 times the amount of gold and will stand up to abrasion and sweat and is tarnish resistant.
